Kindness Corner: The Invisible Boy

Cover of The Invisible Boy by Trudy Ludwig
No child should feel invisible, be a friend to the shy kid in class.

This month in Kindness Corner we chose a book that highlights a simple act of kindness and the power of inclusion. There may be a time in a child's life when they feel invisible or see a classmate in need. The Invisible Boy by Trudy Ludwig shares the story of the quite kid in class, overshadowed by more dramatic characters, and how he learns to shines when included in activities with his peers. He finds that simple act of kindness, sharing his talents, leads to tons of kindness coming back his way.

Take a moment to read this story to your child or class to start a conversation about being a friend and supporting an environment of inclusion. A great resource to help develop a positive classroom culture The Invisible Boy will be relatable to every child and adult.
